Everything You Need to Know About the New Elementor Pro Pricing in 2022

Everything You Need to Know About the New Elementor Pro Pricing

Elementor is easily one of the most commonly used WordPress page builders at the moment. And this strikes as no surprise, given the wide range of useful design elements, templates, and widgets this user-friendly builder comes packed with. Also, while the free version of Elementor offers plenty of functionality in itself, the Elementor Pro plans are also well known and widely used due to the wide range of advanced features they offer (including theme and form builder, among other things) – and at a fairly reasonable price, too. So, when the creators of Elementor first announced big changes in their pricing in February 2021, it is needless to say that a huge chunk of the WordPress community was in a panic.

Since new prices already went into effect on March 9th 2021, if you’re only now planning to use Elementor Pro, there’s not much you can do except to get familiar with this new pricing system and everything it entails. So, to start, we will cut straight to the chase and talk about the new Elementor pro pricing and address what has changed compared to the old one. We will also compare old plans with the new ones, mention some of the new available features, and finally, explain what this all means for users who purchased one of the old Elementor plans before the new pricing structure came into place.

Old Elementor Pricing vs. New Pricing – What’s the Difference?

Elementor Pricing Plan

The old Elementor pro pricing originally consisted of three plans – Personal ($49 a year for a single site), Plus ($99 for three sites), and Expert ($199 for 1000 websites). Each one of these plans had the same features, and the only difference was the number of sites on which you can install and use Elementor Pro.

Now, the new Elementor Pro pricing came into force on March 9th 2021, and instead of three previous plans, five new plans became available. While the prices for the first two plans stayed the same, the pricing for the third one has increased significantly, and two completely new plans have been introduced as well, along with some new useful features. Here is a complete list of new Elementor Pro plans with the new pricing and features:

Essential (previously known as Personal) – available at $49 for a single website. This plan is almost the same as the old plan, with an exception of providing access to more widgets and website kits than before (90+ basic and pro widgets as well as 60+ pro website kits).

Advanced (previously known as Plus) – available $99 for up to three websites. Once again, except for the name change and a few new options (like in the new Essential plan), the plan is pretty much the same as the old one.

Expert – the most drastic change regards the number of websites you can build with this plan, which is now 40 times lower, as the plan allows you to make 25 websites for the price of $199 instead of 1000 like before. You do get access to 60+ pro website kits, 20 expert site kits, and 90+ basic and pro widgets. One other extra feature is the ability to have a profile on Elementor Experts Network you can use to showcase your work and get hired for new projects faster.

Studio – this new plan is available for $499. You can use it on up to 100 websites and also get VIP support (which will talk more about a bit later).

Agency – this plan offers all the features available in the Studio plan, the difference being that for $999, you can use Elementor Pro on up to 1000 websites.

So, in short, if you plan to use the first two plans, almost nothing will change in terms of prices (in fact, you will even gain a few extra widgets and website kits). However, those who plan to create between 100 and 1000 websites using Elementor Pro will now have to get the new Agency plan available at a considerably higher price than the previous one ($999 for 1000 websites instead of $199 like before). Obviously, these new changes don’t go in favor of those who build websites for a living and have a significant amount of clients.

So, What Exactly Are the New Features That You Get?

Elementor Pricing Plans

The major change in the Elementor Pro features is the number of website kits available. Before, you could get only 10+ full website template kits in all plans. Now, you have access to 60+ pro website kits in all plans, as well as access to 20+ expert website kits if you purchase any of the Expert, Studio, or Agency plans. You can use these website kits as templates when building your pages.

Elementor Kits Library

If you’re not familiar with website kits, you should know that these are premade, but flexible sets of templates that can be used and adapted to quickly build different parts of your site. These include header and footer, core pages (like home, about, etc.), single blog templates, and plenty more. So basically, Elementor aims to completely replace the need for using themes to build a site and allow its users complete customization of pretty much every area of your site with the utmost ease.

Also, instead of 50+ widgets, now each plan offers over 90 basic and pro widgets. Plus, if you purchase Expert, Studio, or Advanced plan, you will also be able to get a profile on Elementor Experts.

But possibly the biggest change is the ability to use a VIP support system if you get a Studio or Agency plan. Unlike the premium support feature that allows you to ask questions and get answers within one day from the Elementor premium support team, the VIP support feature allows you to chat live with the support team and get responses in under 30 minutes. If you ask us, this is one of the biggest and most useful additions in terms of new features.

What Happens for Old Elementor Pro Customers?

If you are an old customer that has purchased any old plans – including the previous Expert plan that allowed the use of Elementor Pro on 1000 websites for $199 a year – before March 9th 2021, you can rejoice. You will be able to use the old license for the same old price as long as you make sure that your license is active. In other words, the old price will be grandfathered for life every time you renew it.

So, for example, if you purchased your Expert plan license in February of 2021, you will only have to pay $199 for 1000 websites and continue to use the features available in the old Expert plan as well. In short, nothing will change for you (and you won’t get the new features) as long as you keep renewing your license in time. And in any case, Elementor Pro allows you to enable auto-renewal, so this should help you renew your grandfathered license on time so that you don’t forget to do it by accident.

Wrapping Things Up

The new pricing that came into effect on March 9th 2021 has brought some great new features to compensate for the bigger pricing of certain Elementor pro plans, such as plenty of extra website templates and even a VIP support system. That being said, the old pricing allowed you to purchase the Expert plan for $199 and use Elementor Pro on 1000 websites. Now, with the new pricing system, it’s only valid for 25 websites for the same price. Therefore, despite some of the above-mentioned features, it is easy to see the downsides of certain plans.

In short, if you’re a new customer, you have no choice but to pay $999 for 1000 websites, that is if you want to purchase the Agency plan and get all its features. But, if this price is too much for you or you don’t really need Elementor for 1000 websites and don’t plan to grow, there are other, more affordable plans you can look into. These include plans like Expert for 25 websites and Studio for 100 websites that come with the pricing of $199 and $499 respectively. In any case, make sure to inspect each plan carefully before you decide which option works best for your needs (and your budget).
