This directs the attention of a search engine to it. You can indicate your preferred copy of a page by adding a canonical tag (a <em>rel=\u201dcanonical\u201d<\/em> tag) to the page\u2018s <em>head<\/em> section: anywhere between the &lt;head&gt; tag and the &lt;\/head&gt; tag. They will simply be presented with your preferred copy of a page on a search engine results page, or SERP.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;28px&#8221;][vc_column_text]A <a href=\"https:\/\/qodeinteractive.com\/magazine\/how-to-create-301-redirects-in-wordpress\/\">301 redirect<\/a> is typically used in cases when there is a change to your content (when you delete a page, for instance), when a page\u2018s URL has been changed, or you have <a href=\"https:\/\/qodeinteractive.com\/magazine\/how-to-move-wordpress-site-to-new-domain-without-affecting-seo\/\">migrated your website to a different domain<\/a>.
